Season Starts Next Week

Hello everyone,

The first game next week is between Reardon’s and Sentry. My game is not until 7:15, but I will be there early to bring the alternate home plate, the strike zone mat and the “string” to measure the distance between the “real” home plate and the alternate home plate. I will also bring the copy of the Umpire’s supplemental sheet and a stop watch. For all future games for the remainder of the season, it will be the responsibility of the manager’s of the 6 PM game to retrieve all the bags and equipment from the restrooms where Joe sits and get them set up on the field prior to 6:00 PM game time. It will be the responsibility of the managers of the last game of the night to see that the strike zone mat, alternate home plate, string for measuring, stop watch, first base bags and supplemental rules sheet get back to the restrooms so Joe can lock them up before he leaves. If anyone has any questions, please ask.

I can’t wait for this season to begin. It seems like ages since we’ve played. Good luck to all of you and I look forward to competing against you again. This is so much fun for me and I hope it is for you, too. Thanks for you cooperation. I believe this year will be the best ever. Mokey tells me that they are or already have replaced two burned out lights on the field.
